For  most  of  my  life, I found myself wondering what the purpose of my life was. Although I was born in a

Christian family with great parents who raised me right, I needed to experience God for myself if I was going to follow Jesus radically.

 

Then  one  day  in  April  of  2010  I  found  myself  talking  to  a  customer  at   my   job   about   miracles.

It turns out that the woman was getting ready to attend the Bethel School of Supernatural ministry. After that moment I started going back to church, but something was burning inside of me for more. I was content with my life, but not satisfied with going to church on Sundays and being a good person in my community. There had to be more to life.

 

At that time I heard about Rolland and Heidi Baker and about how God was using them to impact peoples lives in profound ways. Rolland and Heidi Baker are the co-founders of Iris Global, and they're located in Pemba, Mozambique. After watching countless YouTube videos of Heidi Bakers teachings (Yup, God can totally use YouTube), I knew the Lord was calling me to be a laid down lover of Jesus by serving the poor.

 

During the summer of 2014, I finally decided to take a leap of faith and go on a two week missions trip to Pemba, Mozambique in East Africa. During that trip, God completely changed my life.The blind saw, the deaf heard, and many people accepted Jesus into their hearts. After getting back to my home in California, I heard the Lord say, "I want you to get rid of everything you own, pay off all your credit cards, and leave your home country to serve the poor." 

 

After two years of preparing, I finally got rid of pretty much everything I own, paid off all my debt, and I went back to Pemba, Mozambique to attend the Harvest School of Missions with Heidi Baker. After graduating ministry school, I knew it was time for me to go to the mission field for long-term missions, and I felt that place would be Spain. After lots of prayer, talking with different leaders, and confirmation from the Lord, I purchased my flight to Spain.

 

 This has certainly been a wild journey for me over the past few years, and I know God's not finished with me yet. Over the past couple of years I've written two books about my testimony and about how God has been growing me and preparing me for what I'm doing at this time in my life. It truly is more blessed to give than receive, and when we give our lives completely to Him, that's when we really come alive!
